Trip to Florida

Here's some pics. from our little get together. Wow, I was thinking about how Monica and I went to preschool together, and i've know Erynn and Michelle since 5th grade. Friends like these are priceless. We spent the day at Michelle's just hanging out and watching our kiddos play.

Flint had a hold of Lauren's "leash". She really enjoyed it.

Michelle, Lauren Grace, Erynn, Karstan, Mary, and Eliz came over for a photo opportunity. We had a great day at Michelle's just hanging out

Peter was getting some snuggle time with Scott.

Grandma Bassitt is 90!!

We went down to Florida and had a surprise 90th birthday party for Grandma Bassitt. She was very shocked to say the least. A limo picked her up and we all went to her favorite restaurant.

Where in the world are the garrigans?

We are always getting asked, "where are you and for how long?" We're growing accustomed to this nomadic lifestyle that we've jumped into. We are currently back in Birmingham at our friends Parke and Jeff's house, along with their 5 boys of course! It is community living at it's best. We bought a new truck a few weeks ago to which the boys have named the green machine. Unfortunately someone ran into it while it was parked last weekend and we are still trying to get it fixed. We don't know where we'll be next week or next month, but I'm sure it will be an awesome adventure.
We've been invited to the Young Life family camp in Georgia for the week of Spring break. The boys excited about that, it looks like a blast.
We are also planning on going to Montana for the summer. There is an organization called mission builders that basically are missionaries to the missionaries. They are building a base in Lakeside, Montana and are in need of carpenters. It is part of YWAM (youth with a mission). We are really excited about going out there. Apparently there are lots of families on the base and of course, lots of fly fishing to be done.
So, that pretty much sums up the questions for now. I've been learning a lot about patience and not worrying about tomorrow.

It's snowing!

We had the big winter storm 2008. Which means B'ham basically shuts down. Library's close, churches close I mean, it did leave a little snow on the trampoline. The boys, both big and small had lots of fun this morning.

This is Frosty, the snow warrior.

Barrett is 7 !!!!

Maggie and Isabelle enjoyed the cupcakes and ice cream

Parke and I took our boys to the McWane center for Barrett's birthday. We had a great time.

It's so hard to believe that Barrett's 7 already. He got a laptop and loved it. He didn't even want to eat cake and ice cream because he just wanted to play on the computer.

Christmas

Flint really enjoyed all the wraping paper. It was by far his favorite part.

Barrett was a bit under the weather. He got sick 2 days before Christmas, we took him to the dr. and it turned out that he had mono and strep. He's doing much better now.

Peter is, well, Peter. His snow boots are now his shoes of choice.

Snow boots for everyone!!!

Luke got just what he wanted, a headlight and a camera. There was a little nervousness in the camper as to whether or not Santa could find us, but thanks to his helper James Pengiun, he found us. however, Santa did leave a note requesting that next year he gets oatmeal choc. chip cookies instead of the slice and bake kind. Picky picky!
